Local doesn't just mean convenient. It means your BCBA understands what your morning looks like, what time the buses come, why the College Park traffic matters, and what the nearest evaluator's wait list is. Context makes the treatment plan work.
We're a brand new practice, but we're not new to ABA. The clinical leadership has years of experience running ABA in other states. Goose Creek is the home base we're building everything around.
A typical session is two to four hours of structured, play-based teaching, one on one with your child. Your therapist uses what your child already likes: Magna-Tiles, books, snacks, the family dog. The goals are real-life. Asking for what they want, riding out a transition, getting through a meal at the table.
When an outdoor or community setting helps a specific goal, we can take a session out. The Boulder Bluff Park, the Goose Creek Community Center, the library on Old Mt Holly Road are all options. Otherwise we're in your house.
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) writes the plan and watches the data. A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) runs the sessions and is the one your child sees most. Both will know your kid's name, their favorite toy, and the thing that always sets them off.
