Why in-home

Why we come to you in Mount Pleasant

Mount Pleasant traffic is a real problem, especially across the Ravenel Bridge at rush hour. Adding a clinic commute to your child's week is a lot to ask. So we cross the bridge instead, and you don't have to.

Your therapist works in the rooms where your child already lives. The kitchen, the play area, the back porch overlooking the marsh. Skills they practice there are skills they actually keep.

Mount Pleasant has its own rhythms: the school pickup at Mount Pleasant Academy or Wando High, the after-school routines at Memorial Waterfront Park, the way the island families plan around tide schedules. Your BCBA sees all of that and builds it into the treatment plan.

Inside a session

What a session looks like

A typical session is two to four hours of structured, play-based teaching, one on one with your child. Goals are real-life: asking for what they want, riding out a transition, getting through a meal at the table.

When an outdoor or community setting helps a specific goal, we can take a session out. Memorial Waterfront Park, Palmetto Islands County Park, and the Mount Pleasant Library are all options. Otherwise we're in your house.

A BCBA writes the plan and watches the data. An RBT runs the sessions and is the one your child sees most.
